While reading through the discussions on Hulu for the new show "V" I came across a thread on politics. I was really surprised (and impressed) with how well said peoples comments were. It seems that those who were posting aimed to qualify and express their opinions rather than slam them down other peoples throats. I think we need more of that.

At any rate, heres what one person (Janessa) posted. I'm re-posting it here because I really liked what she had to say and I feel like it mirrored my personal opinions in alot of ways.

"I've been saying "There is no party for me" for years. I am economically conservative, but socially liberal. I believe in strengthening local governments and that individual freedom and responsibility should trump federal policy, but I also want schools that have good teachers, art programs and music where I can feel good about sending my kids. And I believe that marijuana should be legalized for medical purposes. I believe that we should be environmentally responsible, but that it should be incentivised rather than regulated to the point of more federal bloat being spent on environmental causes which offer little tangible benefit.
I believe that there is no longer any such thing as "checks and balances" in our system.
I cannot find candidates that I want to vote for because those who run are forced to run on their party's platform, not individual ideas. I still vote, but it hurts every time because I, personally, haven't felt represented by any part of our government in a long long time. Even moderate Repubs or conservative Dems don't really fit for me. *shrug* I like your ideas, Raymond, but can we hope that anyone will ever make strides towards realizing the need?"
It seems that I have run out of time to maintain this blog in the slightest. I'm starting to get the desire to blog again - something about the fall energizes me to expand.
This is a little off topic for this blog, but I have to say I love apple's Safari Browser. I used to use Firefox, but it is a little cluttered.
Safari is clean fast and simple. It does have some issues with downloads, but thats why I still have firefox. Don't get me wrong, Firefox is great, but I messed up my graphics somehow (idk how but MS Office, Firefox, IE, and a few others wont display properly). So i downloaded Safari to see if it would work, and I think I have fallen in love.
Anyway just my two cents, have a good weekend!
I have realized that I have been viewing this blogging thing all wrong.

This isnt a newspaper, its an online journal. I should start treating it more like that.

.....Though I am still keeping my tech how to guide type blog the same....cause some of that stuff is too random for a readership to keep track of and it better left to show up in google searches.
I know very little about Islam at this time, researching it is on my to do list.
This video is interesting, though. Regardless of what you think of Islam, it may well be worth watching.

Well it was a good game, even though the better team lost. This was my first time watching the game, and of course the team I picked to root for lost (I flipped a coin). The game was interesting enough there were some awesome moments, although I missed a few because I was working on my essay for English. Suffice to it to say my paper sucked. Anyway it was a good game and I enjoyed watching it.
According to the Hal Lindsey report, Al-Qaida members have been found dead...from the bubonic plague.

Yes. the Bubonic Plauge. The one from that ashes ashes children song and the Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe.

The concept of biological weapons has been tossed around alot, but its still well worth noting.
