Today, while hanging with two good friends of mine, I made some off hand comment kinda-sorta relating to politics and somehow we ended up on Obamas birth certificate.

As stated in my blog here I am not sure what to make of it - but the fact that Obama hasn't rebutted the court cases against him once and for all makes me wonder what the heck is going on. I'd like the answer to that all and I'm intrigued that everyone would rather brush it off than figure it out. Shouldn't it be an quick and easy rebuttal on Obamas part?

Anyhow, they both were under the impression that conservatives just needed to drop it and let it go (which is a horrible argument by the way, if you believe in something have some substance to your reasoning).

Anyhow, one of my friends said to the other 'republican' in an exasperated tone as though it was some sort of insult.
I wouldn't call someone democrat as an insult. or Gay. or Black.



It got me thinking about how petty politics has become. Its a popularity contest.

In the end I became hopelessly frustrated about it all.

All the issues
All the propaganda
All the hate
All the bad excuses
(note: both sides have these)
All the miscommunication


There is no single way to 'fix' it and that makes it very annoying - maybe even vexing.
