harvey - a blogger on IMAO - recently created a post entitled 'Lets Question the Messiah' which linked to a website where the 'Obama Transition Team' (.....no comment) answered questions submitted by users.

Unfortunately the site is not currently accepting questions, though harvey provided his pre-prepared list of questions.

Among them one sticks out:

During your exploration of ways to end the war in Iraq, have you ever seriously considered military victory?

To me, this simple question is like a paradigm shift. The news is so tied up in ending the war while first hand accounts seem to indicate we're actually winning - which isn't surprising to me. What I do find surprising is how bound everyone seems to be to 'ending' the war.

Not to say we should be bound to continuing it. I don't like being bound at all.

I suppose the point I am making is that the war seems to be viewed in one way and only one way. People have convinced themselves that we are and maybe even should loose (or at least pull out....which is kinda the same thing) while I don't think we should be convinced either way until we are critical of the facts and our interpretation of the facts.
