Well it's a new year and a new president, and I've noticed the change. To an outsider it probably looks like we have reversed every one of our policies of the past century. I have noticed that during the last few weeks I have been less attentive to the news and current events and have been drawing more to my friends, imagination, and books to avoid the cruel truth of reality. But Obama has managed to give me Hope, although in a sense he didn't intend.

Over the last few weeks I have been having bouts of unreasonable happiness and sense of joy I can't explain. I dont think this is because of Captain Hopenchange, but more of the sights of Democrat infighting and general discombobulation of the current administration. I am starting to have hopes of a better future, one where the democrats have destroyed themselves through disagreements and turmoil. I can see in my mind a time when there are several parties in American politics The Libertarians, Conservatives, and Republicans; I can see a future where the free world covers the earth and countries trade freely and have peaceful communication without trying to force their views on each other. I envision a world free of islamofascism, communism, socialism, and the metric system(one of the earliest forms of international socialism). I pray that what i see will come true and the world will someday be the great place it should have been.

I know that this sounds ridiculus but imagining a better future is the best way of coming to it. I guess I've read Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter too much but a guy can dream.
